EverThrive IL Releases Policy Priorities for 2024

Uncategorized / January 18, 2024 by Diana Pando

As the legislative session begins in Illinois, EverThrive Illinois is committed to supporting and advancing  policies that support a more just health care ecosystem while centering communities most impacted by injustice and inequity.  We will work to advance legislation in the following areas:

  • Family recovery plans for pregnant/postpartum people and newborns affected by substance use disorder
  • Contraception and reproductive health access
  • Equitable health insurance coverage
  • Paid family leave
  • Diaper access

The organization will also advocate for key administrative priorities, including the full implementation of doula and home visiting services covered by Medicaid, increased enrollment in the WIC nutritional program, and access to care in maternity care deserts.

EverThrive Illinois looks forward to working with advocates, coalition partners, and policymakers to advance these policy priorities in 2024. Join the policy action network today to be alerted when there are opportunities to take action on policies that advance reproductive justice in Illinois.

We thank you in advance for being part of this important work!
