For over 30 years, EverThrive IL has been a champion for health equity, focused on advocating for access to high-quality health care for women, children and families in Illinois. We understand the realities of inequity and we believe that health care should be right for everyone. We are passionate about providing the trusted resources and informational tools that women, children, and families need to take control of their health.
The need for our organization was sparked in 1985 when the federal government began to expand Medicaid eligibility for pregnant people and children. A group of organizations committed to improving health outcomes for Illinoisans joined together to advocate for improved health safety net programs and services, becoming a permanent organization in 1988. Today, EverThrive Illinois continues to work with partners and communities to eliminate the racial and economic inequalities in health for women, children and families.
In seeking to tackle the barriers that drive racial and economic inequalities in health, we advocate for equitable health policies, encourage community engagement, and develop strategic partnerships that lead to innovative solutions and prioritize the needs of the communities we serve.
We cannot do this important work without an incredibly talented, motivated team of people who go above and beyond in their efforts to make a difference in Illinois.
We know that change comes from intentional, timely action, and we proudly advocate for equitable policies and programs that help build better, stronger communities throughout Illinois.
