EverThrive IL Launches Understanding COVID-19 Vaccination Awareness Campaign

Covid-19, Organization Update / January 20, 2022 by Diana Pando

This month, EverThrive IL is launching a COVID-19 Vaccination Awareness Campaign to raise vaccine confidence for communities most impacted by the pandemic. The focus of the campaign is to activate parents, caregivers, pregnant or recently pregnant people, and community or spiritual leaders to understand COVID-19 and the importance of getting vaccinated. “We are committed to supporting the health and well-being of families, and our role in that space is crucial during this pandemic when so many Black and brown communities are being gravely impacted,” said Ceci Tipiani-Fuentes, EverThrive IL’s Immunization Manager.

The COVID-19 vaccines are the safest, easy to get, and low-cost way to prevent and protect against the COVID-19 virus. This digital campaign helps educate and debunk common myths around the vaccine by providing evidence-based information that compels more people to get vaccinated. Since the beginning of the year, there has been a surge in COVID-19 cases impacting communities and straining hospital systems. According to data from the Illinois Department of Public Health, there are 2,709,474 COVID-19 cases in Illinois. Meanwhile, the Chicago Public Health Department data shows that the city is averaging 2,819 cases per day. “We each have a choice and a responsibility to care for one another,” said Ceci Tipiani-Fuentes. “We’ve lost too many loved ones and will lose more if we don’t do our part to end this pandemic.”

Whether you are a parent or a caregiver, pregnant or recently pregnant, or a community or spiritual leader, we want to offer you credible information on how you can best protect yourself and others from the virus. The COVID-19 vaccine is an important step in protecting against developing severe complications and straining hospital systems. The campaign features a user-friendly website landing page with evidence-based resources, fact sheets, and social media ads in English/Spanish.

EverThrive IL continues to be a leader in working to create healthier communities by providing timely and accurate information about COVID-19 vaccines. This campaign will help people make informed decisions about their health and protect their families and communities from serious COVID-19 complications.
