This year has been trying for everyone: a lingering public health crisis, individuals and families stretched dollar-for-dollar, and court rulings highlighting the significant health disparities experienced in Black and Brown communities. It is time to end this cycle of catastrophe that is impacting the health of our neighbors. This giving season, EverThrive IL has set a goal to raise $25,000 to support our efforts to create a health care system that’s deserving of trust from those most affected by injustice. Our commitment to equitable health is backed by action, as reflected by our accomplishments this year. This past year we:
- Developed The Gathering Campaign to bring awareness to the maternal mortality and morbidity crises in Illinois and offered community resources to prevent future deaths. This life-saving campaign reached a total of 25,448 people.
- Produced a COVID-19 Digital Campaign that strengthened our work in robust vaccine outreach, education, and immunization efforts–prioritizing the most underserved communities in Chicago and reaching 234,302 people and worked with 24 providers in Roseland, Woodlawn, and Englewood on the common community myths of the COVID-19 vaccine and how to address them
- Provided consultation with 10 birthing hospitals in Illinois to work towards eliminating racial and gender disparities in care..
