EverThrive IL stands in solidarity with immigrant communities across the country. We are committed to justice, anti-racism, and human dignity. We stand firmly against the use of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids and the cruel policy of family separation. These actions are in direct violation of fundamental human rights and have caused irreparable harm to countless individuals, including parents and their children. All Illinois communities deserve safety, compassion, and stability, not fear and trauma.
Raids and forced separations without due process tear families apart. They create an environment of fear, targeting immigrant communities and undermining trust in public institutions. These policies disproportionately impact BIPOC communities, exacerbate systemic inequality, and betray the values of fairness and due process that should be at the core of our society.
No one should live in fear of being taken from their home or losing a loved one to a broken system. We call for an immediate end to ICE raids, the reunification of separated families, and the implementation of policies that prioritize human rights, dignity, and the protection of all people, regardless of immigration status.
We will continue to advocate with our community partners, supporters, and elected officials to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals, families, and communities in IL.
