Health and Educational Rights of Homeless and Unaccompanied Youth 101

This session will provide an overview of the unique legal barriers to accessing health care, public benefits, and success in school that are faced by homeless and unaccompanied youth, as well as current policy initiatives to remove systemic barriers. Participants will learn about specific community-based resources and referrals that are available to assist homeless students outside of the school setting. The presentation will provide practical advice based on real-world case studies on how to address specific issues that occur.
