Nital Patel, MPH, Maternal & Child Health Director, March of Dimes
Anna Blankenberger, MPH, Maternal & Child Health Director, March of Dimes
The March of Dimes has established an ambitious set of goals to reduce preterm birth rates in the U.S. to 8.1% by 2020 and 5.5% by 2030. To work towards these goals, the March of Dimes will focus efforts on eight emerging and established evidence interventions to reduce preterm birth, while simultaneously addressing health. This presentation seeks to educate conference attendees on the prevalence of and risk factors for preterm birth in Illinois, discuss March of Dimes IL strategic mission plan priorities and which interventions we plan to focus as well as highlight the successes and barriers of current collaborative initiatives (i.e. Healthy Babies are Worth the Wait).
