Health & Educational Rights of Homeless and Unaccompanied Youth (for SHCs)

April 19, 2017

Presented by ISBHA and Graham Bowman, attorney with the Law Project of the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless

This webinar covers a range of common legal issues faced by homeless and unaccompanied youth that can be easily spotted by SHC staff. Topics included access to public benefits and identification documents, school enrollment, consent to health care, Medicaid managed care, and other available referral resources. This webinar was tailored to Chicago SHCs as it also provided an overview of Streetlight Chicago, a mobile application that features up-to-date information on resources available to homeless and unaccompanied youth in the Chicago area. A webinar tailored to downstate regions will follow!
