What is Youth Advocay Day?
Every spring, EverThrive IL brings high school students from across the state of Illinois to Springfield to learn how to advocate for the issues that matter to their lives. The students receive advocacy training, learn how civic engagement works at the state level, get an opportunity to meet directly with their legislators, and end the day with a rally for adolescent health in the Capitol Rotunda. This unique opportunity is provided at no cost to the students through the Child and Adolescent Health Initiative.
That's cool, but how much money can we win?
One team member's ticket fee per team will be put into the pot for the winning team to take home. So that means 5 teams = $50, 8 teams = $80 and so on.
There will be opportunities to win points other than just answering trivia questions. There'll also be a chance to take home a gift certificate from our gracious hosts, Home Run Inn Pizza.
What's the best way to get there?
Home Run Inn Pizza is right off the Belmont "L" station - easily accessible from the Red, Brown, and Purple Lines.
If you're planning on driving, we recommend you use Spot Hero - as there is plenty of cheap parking located near the location.
