Tamela Milan is the Maternal and Child Health Outreach Worker at Access Community Health Network. Tamela started her career as a peer educator for the Closing the Gap on Infant Mortality project from 2004-2007. She was the Westside Healthy State Consortia Chair, was a former participant of that program, and was the first consumer to serve as a consumer representative on the National Healthy Start Association Board. In 2014, Tamela was appointed to the Illinois Community Health Workers Advisory Council. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Concordia University in 2014 and an Associates Degree from Robert Morris College in 1999. She is currently working on her Masters of Public Policy from National Louis University.
