Michael Taitel, PhD is a Senior Director of Health Analytics, Research & Reporting at Walgreen Co. and has been with the company since 2010. Dr. Taitel offers insights into conducting behavioral and clinical research in applied settings and presenting results to key decision makers. Dr. Taitel holds a doctorate in experimental health psychology from Ohio University and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Bowling Green State University. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, and the Society of Behavioral Medicine.
As a volunteer, Dr. Taitel helped found the Gilead Center, whose mission was to connect uninsured individuals and families throughout metropolitan Chicago with affordable healthcare benefits for which they are eligible. They also conducted research on the uninsured in Illinois and leveraged the findings to help lobby for state support of Kidcare, All Kids, and eventually FamilyCare. In addition, for several years he served on the board of BJBE synagogue and served as social action chair. He helped initiate membership in United Power for Action and Justice and an award-winning community organizing program.
