Dr. Chandra has been practicing pediatrics with Northwestern Medical Group in Chicago since 2001. Originally from Ohio, she received her MD from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in 1995 and completed her residency at Northwestern's Children Memorial Hospital. Dr. Chandra maintains a strong affiliation with the medical school as an Instructor in Clinical Pediatrics at Northwestern University. As faculty tutor for the Education Centered Medical Home, she teaches students about primary care medicine and has served on the Medical School’s Curriculum Committee. Over the years she has worked in various capacities with the AAP Illinois Chapter. She serves on the Committee on Infectious Diseases and is faculty with both the Reaching Our Goals and Adolescent Immunization Projects. She currently represents her chapter at the Illinois Immunization Advisory Committee.
Dr. Chandra’s professional interests are focused on being a champion of childhood immunizations and is a Media Spokesperson for the AAP and Northwestern Medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Chandra chairs the SEED Foundation, a nonprofit scholarship foundation serving Indian high school students. She is married with four children, and enjoys photography, music, and travel.
